Cowes RNLI Lifeboat Station is situated on the Parade in Cowes and houses our Atlantic 85 "B Class" lifeboat, Sheena Louise. Being well placed to quickly reach all parts of the central Solent region, we are a busy station with approximately 50 people manning the boat and station operations (plus a large and active group of fund-raisers, shop and visit staff). I am one of the station operations staff, a "Deputy Launch Authority" in RNLI terms, which means that I am on a regular rota (and pager call-out for "shouts") to manage rescue and general station operations.
